Dear Club Members, Friends and Rams Family,
This is a short note to give you a brief outline of what’s on, and where we are heading.
The committee members appointed at the AGM on 11 September 2019 for the 2020 season are now on the website, and I welcome you to take the time to reach out and make their acquaintance.
The club is in a strong position to build on the hard work over the last few years. It has been the club’s vision to be the club of choice for all people who love rugby.
A key focus area this year is to raise the level of coaching from juniors through to seniors. This entails expanding our coaching capability, establishing a coaching structure across the whole club and implementing better support and development for coaches through the club’s system.
The process of identifying and selecting a Dewar Shield Seniors Head Coach is underway, and we are still open to receiving CVs from suitable candidates. We expect to conclude this process soon, subject to suitable candidates being identified and an announcement made as soon as possible.
Volunteering is a key part aspect of keeping this community club vibrant and viable. The more volunteers we have, the more financial and human resources we have to deploy on the programs we need to deliver to support the wealth of raw talent the club is blessed with. We will look to make volunteering fun, and part of this means making sure we respect your time commitments. Getting this right will mean that you can see how your contributions have a direct impact on the positive outcomes we are seeking to deliver.
The club is open during the spring and summer months. There are many events planned during the Rugby World Cup. Details are posted on the website and other media, please keep an eye out and get along, it is still the cheapest place to enjoy a cool drink with great company!
If you have any questions or would like to discuss your ideas on what we should be looking to do over the next year, please contact me at email@example.com.
I look forward to meeting you all in person soon,
