Brenda was one of a group of women, The Ladies Committee, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to provide post-match meals for the players. They were formed in 1949 and continued until the late 1990s.

As Fred Pickstone said "Many a visiting team who had met defeat at Scatcherd Lane still went away smiling. The reason is the fine meal which Morley Club's catering team provides for players after matches."

Brenda was Secretary to the Ladies committee from 1963 until she became President in 1971; a position she held for 13 years. She was involved in many aspects of the club and along with Freda Austin helped develop the social side of the club.

Illness has prevented from attending matches in recent years, but she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
