Victories for 1st and 2nd teams over Moortown
Winners and Grinners - Morley players after 19 - 15 victory at Moortown
Morley had to fight to grind out a victory over Moortown in the second half. George Bowen gave Morley a 28th minute lead with a try on the top touch line. However a last minute try in the first half levelled the scores and Moortown went ahead with a 45th minute penalty.
Morley hit back with an interception try for Bowen for his second and George Kelly added his weight to the forwards to dive over Morley's third try.
A penalty try for a scrum infringement on 77 minutes gave Moortown a glimmer of hope but Morley ended the game 19 - 15 victors with 4 more valuable league points.
Morley face Old Brodleians, who beat Wetherby 34 - 17, on Saturday in what will be another tough encounter on Saturday Dec 6. Kick off is 2.15pm
The Cavaliers also had a good win over Moortown with an even tighter score 20 - 19.
