The Mary Wade Award is awarded to a person who has made an outstanding contribution to the Junior section, and Rodger was nominated by our current Junior Chairman Andy Poyner at the last Junior meeting and this was carried unanimously.

Rodger has been a force for good for many years in both the junior and the senior section actually but it has been the Junior section in particular where his leadership, drive and enthusiasm has had enormous benefits for the section, with new initiatives, e.g. the Academy Pathway making such a difference.

He has also led capital improvement projects – refurbishing the back bar, the floodlights, and the stand that have benefitted the whole club. So, it is a much deserved award Rodger and many congratulations from the whole of the Club.
