Moseley beat Old Leams 87 - 0, the first game of the 2018/19 season

You wouldn't have thought the Moseley players would have started off so strong with the nerves emanating around the changing room 10 minutes before kick off, but as soon as the whistle blew Moseley kicked to Old Leams and quickly gained possession back with a rush defence forcing the knock on from the oppositions.

Knowing the pace we had in the backs (they better be quick with some of the flash boots they're wearing) flyhalf Megan got the ball out to superstar fullback Ruth (Rooooot) who scored within the first few minutes of the game. The game pretty much followed on in this manner with Moseley having most of the possession.

Clare (11) scored twice, then the other winger got a bit jel and scored herself Anna (14), Clare having absolutely none of it then scored ANOTHER two. Scrum half Mel did a Danny-Cipriani-something-you'd-see-on-the-Premiership-highlights style fancy kick-through (oh look at me I can pass AND kick) to Ruth at fullback, who then kicked it again whilst being chased down, and then grubbered it past the opposing fullback, managed to get the perfect bounce, it was absolutely beautiful! But then went and knocked it on... (We were actually quite pleased because she's annoyingly good at everything and now we see she is in fact human). Anyway, I digress, the score is currently 32-0 (could have been at least 37-0 aye Ruth?)

The forwards pull off a lovely move they've been practicing at training and it was a thing of beauty, who knew forwards could catch and pass so well eh? This lead to Kath (13, and VERY eager for a try at this point) reaching out whilst being tackled and scoring for herself between the posts, Liss (12) then got jealous and scored twice herself, both after bursting through the Old Leams defensive line like a rugby player Hulk but shorter with lovely long curly hair. So the score is nowwwww... (does quick maths) 53-0 and a very good way to end the first half.

Second half and Anna (14) scores almost straight away after the forwards gathered the ball in (Yay! No knock ons from restarts! Miracles do exist!) and passed between themselves for a while before letting Anna (14) do the leg work.

Emma comes on at 14 to replace Anna and scores for herself, Ruth scores again (would have been your hattrick aye Ruth!) and Sham (6) scores an absolute blinder, crashing through the middle of the Old Leams defence, dragging 3 players with her, someone must have told her there were baked goods for try scorers that day, a VERY celebrated try and VERY well deserved. The score now 75-0.

Old Leams put together a few great phases of play at this point, bursting through our line and making it into our 22, forward of the match Lauren putting in an awesome tackling-shift, but wanting to keep a clean sheet and not annoy coach Nick, Eve put in a great try-saving tackle and we regain the ball, Megan (10) boots the ball downfield ('AVE IT!) and with this great exit strategy we work our way back down the pitch and Mel (9) gets a try for herself.

Emma finishes off the game with another try and Megan converts to finish off the match 87-0. The end.
