Oak kept possession well in the opening stages earning a penalty, which was converted by Ollie Thomas. However, Newark replied almost immediately with a well-worked counter attack try. They nearly followed it up with another try from inside their half but the last pass did not go to hand and Moseley cleared.

Josh Tomlinson touched down for Moseley Oak's first try of the game after a series of dominant scrums on the Newark line, and Freddie Jevons added the extras.
Moseley were now getting into a rhythm and on their next possession, after some good bursts by the forwards, Thomas put Vasco Torres into space and he fed Ollie Jones who finished well in the left corner.
Newark then replied with another long-range effort from first phase, when their outside half broke on their own 22 and offloaded to support for another excellent converted score. And after stripping Moseley in the tackle, a few phases later they took the lead again with a third converted try, outnumbering the home side on the right.

Moseley Oak secured their third try through Joe Semple after ten phases of hard work on the try line by the forwards, and with the Jevons conversion went in 22- 21 ahead at half-time.

Newark nearly scored first in the second half but a loose pass allowed Moseley Oak to kick the bouncing ball downfield and turn the ball over. Kris Fenn powered through and Oak had a try bonus point.
Jamal Gask-Clarke followed this up to extend Moseley's lead when he beat three defenders to score a fantastic try from sixty metres.
Newark cleared following a long period in their own half, Joe Carter sniped up the blind side and beat the last man to increase the pressure further.

Jamie Constantine burst through at the back of the line out for Moseley's seventh try, before Gask-Clarke notched another brilliant individual effort this time from ninety metres.
Newark got a deserved bonus point with their fourth try near the end of the game after a clever pass unlocked the Moseley defence, and the final whistle sounded soon afterwards.
55-21 to Moseley Oak who move up into third place, and face Melbourne away next week.
