Former Mossley player Vinny Garmory sadly passed away on 28th December 2017.

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Vinny Garmory.

Vinny was a former Manchester City youth team captain who played 247 games & scored 27 goals for Mossley from the 1977/78 season to 1982/83. He later had spells with Stalybridge Celtic and Curzon Ashton. He moved out of the area 28 years ago to live in Market Deeping,

He was a member of Mossley's League & Cup winning side of 78/79 and also the title winning side the following season, though he didn't make the team for the FA Trophy final in 1980 he played in several of the rounds on the way to Wembley.

RIP Vinny, our thoughts are with his famiy and friends at this difficult time.

There will be a minute's silence held in memory of Vinny prior to the New Years Day fixture with Droylsden.
