Mossley AFC under 15's recorded an impressive win this weekend at Seel Park.
The Lilywhites saw off Hattersley in an 8-2 victory.
After the game, Mossley manager Ryan Smith commented on how pleased he was on the attitude of the players.
"We have been promoted two divisions so we knew this season was going to be our toughest test yet. To make life harder we've had a terrible start to the season with injuries losing 6 of the lads, 2 of which being our main play makers"
"We've had a tough learning curve in the first 2 games and players have had to play out of position so the result on Sunday was an important one. The lads will continue to learn in this division but as they do and as we get our full squad back, I'm confident that we will grow"
"I was especially pleased that we stayed patient this week in the first half as Hattersley tried to come and frustrate us with men behind the ball. We looked solid with our back 5 even after loosing Konrad (left back) after 10 minutes to a knee injury but we kept moving the ball effectively and I was confident that as the game went on and the tired, we generate and convert more chances".
Joshua Platt was awarded MOTM for an outstanding performance on the right wing causing Hattersley all sorts of problems both scoring and assisting with goals
Next week sees the Lilywhites travel up the road to neighbours Hollingworth for what will no doubt be a tough game.
