There was mixed fortunes for the lilywhites youth teams this morning but they all did the club proud.
The Under 8's Blacks had a great day marching to a 5-0 victory to reach the next round, the whites at the same age group had a tougher day and had to endure the heartache of losing a penalty shootout having held a team two divisions above them to a draw.
The Under 11s Blacks also were unlucky losing 5-4 on penalties having held a team in the division above to a 3-3 draw, Manager Catherine Rigby was extremely proud saying "it was a fantastic game and the players gave 100%"
The Lilywhites Under 9's had a fantastic day winning 5-0, joint manager James Burke was proud of the team and when asked for his moment of the match he said "Man of the match Oliver Loughman had a very good game, he showed such skill and determination for the goal of the match by dribbling through the whole of the opposition team and calmly lifting the ball over the on rushing keeper"
The last of the youth teams in action today were the under 10's who even without being at their best grinded out a 1-0 win. Coach Jamie Shepherd gave his man of the match to Harrison Coverley saying "Harrison had a great game today, he was really strong at the back and also when he moved into Midfield". The Lilywhites goal was scored by Xander Gregory.
Well done to all 5 teams in action today and good luck in the next round, tomorrow it is the turn of the Under 13 and Under 15 age groups with all 3 teams looking to build on last weeks victories.
