The University of Liverpool Tennis club’s annual charity mixed doubles event is back again for 2019. This year we will be running the event in partnership with Mossley Hill Tennis Club!
The event will be held on Monday 6th May with an arrival time of 11:30! It’s the May bank holiday! We will probably run till around 4pm if all goes to plan!
The event is mixed doubles, with two draws, an advanced standard draw and an intermediate/social draw, so of course everyone is welcome and no-one, from beginners to team players, will be out of place! Round Robin format so everyone will get some good games.
Every tournament we run at the uni is ultimately to raise money for charity, this event is no different, the charity for this year is Parkinson’s UK.
Entry will be £4 per person, with all proceeds going straight to the charity! Excitingly, the event is being sponsored by Deliveroo so we should have some free food and also there will be a cake sale, all home baked by my mother (she’s very good at baking) so bring a few extra quid if you can!!
So please pair up, and come down for what should be a great day! When you have a pair could you please email me at email@example.com with the names of the pair - only one person needs to email from each pair! If you don’t have a partner let me know and I will do my best to pair you up!
Deadline for entries is Sunday 5th May at 5pm so I know numbers and can organise the draws etc! The first stage will be round robin so you will get to play a good number of matches!
The final, and VERY IMPORTANT, rule is that this is Wimbledon themed - so you must come wearing ALL WHITE (or as close to as possible)!
So, get Monday 6th May 2019 (Bank Holiday) into you diaries and start finding yourself a partner!
Hope to see lots of you there, here’s hoping the weather is as nice as it has been this bank holiday weekend!
