Another quality team performance from Mould made it two wins on the bounce with a comprehensive victory over Death Penguin. Could survival in the top flight now be a real possibility? Only time will tell.

In truth it took Mould a little while to settle with Penguin having the better of the early play, and it was no surprise when they took the lead when a deflected shot looped into the net.

Mould roared back, with Cox at the heart of most of the best moves. An equaliser duly arrived as COX created a yard and beat the Penguin keeper at his near post with a driven shot.

Parity was brief, as Penguin took the lead once more and pushed for a third. However Mould these days are made of sterner stuff and COX doubled his tally with another fine shot that left the keeper grasping at air.

His hat trick was completed with his coup de gras. Sinclair crossed from the left and COX rose like a salmon to head it into the far corner. "It was all in the cross" was the muttering from the crowd "the perfect blend of pace and precision". Either way it was a fitting way to claim the match ball.

It was all Mould now as Penguin grew increasingly frustrated by some disciplined defending and enterprising forward play.

Goal number 4 followed soon after as ringer BOB beat his man, dummied the keeper and stroked into the net. The Danwood man had obviously learnt a lot from his stint in the Mould side.

Knight and Davo combined together for the fifth, as a neat one two left KNIGHT in the clear and he dinked it over the onrushing keeper. And then ELLIOTT, relieved of keeping duties, rounded off the scoring with an arrowed shot.

It could have been more, but Mould can be pleased with their all round team effort on what was a very impressive display.
