Seven days after the walkover against Cheese, Mould returned to winning ways with another decent performance against the Phoenix Knights. However, fielding a line-up of eight players, it took a while before they managed to get out of first gear.

Indeed it was Phoenix who scored first after a drab first quarter, when their player surged forward and toe-ended spawnily into the bottom corner from distance.

Parity was restored shortly afterwards as SODJE opted against blasting the ball down the other end of the ground and instead smashed the ball in the Phoenix onion bag after a neat piece of ball juggling. 1-1.

Mould were now dominant, and though Phoenix had spells of possession they couldn't trouble the Mould rearguard marshalled by (the coughing) Sinclair in nets.

A second goal wasn't far away, ANDERSON finding himself in space and smashing the ball past the despairing Phoenix keeper. COX then extended the lead with a clinical finish to make it 3-1.

The fourth goal followed shortly after as SODJE grabbed the fourth goal with a quick turn and howitzer finish inside the far post.

Phoenix grabbed a second flukey goal, but couldn't get back into the game. Even a disallowed goal for Mould couldn't affect the result, and ELLIOTT added icing to the footballing bun when he put the keeper on his backside, rounded him and stroked home. And no, that isn't a euphemism.
