The Evening Mails Rugby correspondent Jason Meadows previews this weeks game.
MILLOM head to Egremont looking to progress to the next round of the Cumbria Cup.
The Wilson Park side have pulled together in pre-season and will be looking to put their hard work to good use.
Although missing stalwarts Trevor Dixon and Danny Readhead from the back row, the Blue and Whites are still able to field a strong side for their trip up the coast. Craig Mounsey and Jordan Moyes will be pivotal in linking forwards and backs and keeping the team moving.
Outside Moyes are the pacey, evasive centres of Ryan Carter and Chris Park, who, on their day, can take on any side with their runs. Returning to the side after injuring himself in the first game of last season is James Wilson, who has been missed and he can make an impact on his return.
The front row will need to take responsibility going forward, with Tony Swales, Dean Doyle and Steve Watson needing to be on top form for the squad to build a platform.
Evergreen Ian Cummings takes control of the second row and will be partnering Keiron Rogan in what look a powerhouse partnership.
With Jason Metcalfe also in the back row, the squad has a strong, robust look about it which will be a real match for Egremont.
Neil Shaw makes a welcomed return at full back and will punish Egremont with his golden boot.
With no club captain named, this is a perfect opportunity for somebody to step up to the plate and put themselves in the shop window for the honour of leading the team in the Cumbria League season to come.
