In the 51st minute the Regional right winger beat her marker and scored with a fine strike from 15 yards to reduce the deficit to the minimum. Then on 66 minutes Mungret attacked down the left wing and when the ball was crossed into the penalty area Lilly Griffin was on hand to score from close range to extend the lead to 3-1. Minutes later the referee blew the full time whistle and the Mungret girls celebrated their hard fought victory.
