Can Rebels still make it to the Play-Offs?

By David Hamlet

It is still possible, albeit unlikely

“They must win by two goals, ideally three”

Eastbourne Borough's 95th minute equaliser yesterday (22 Apr) definitely dented Rebels chances of gaining a play-off position. However, it is still possible should they win by two goals at Truro City next Saturday.

Torquay United have won the divisional championship and will return to Conference National next season.

Woking and Welling United have qualified for the play-off semi-finals.

Chelmsford City, Bath City and Concord Rangers have qualified for the play-off quarter finals, the latter owing to their far superior goal difference compared with St. Albans City and Dartford.

This leaves just one place up for grabs. These are the fixtures for the competing clubs with the result needed for Rebels to progress to the play-offs.

Billericay Town will play Bath City at home
They have 65 points and a goal difference of +9 and must lose by two goals

St. Albans City will play Torquay United at home
They have 64 points and a goal difference of +7 and must draw or lose

Dartford will play Oxford City away
They have 64 points and a goal difference of -5 and must draw or lose

Wealdstone will play Hemel Hempstead Town at home
They have 63 points and a goal difference of +11 and must draw or lose

Slough Town will play Truro City away
They have 62 points and a goal difference of +6 and must win by two goals

It is a tough ask. Wealdstone look to have the best chance if Billericay Town fail to win; however hope springs eternal
