Flackwell Heath v Slough Town, F.A. Cup 2nd Round Qualifying, Wilks Park, Heath End Road, Flackwell Heath, High Wycombe, Bucks
Saturday 22nd September - Kick-Off 15h00

It's back on the road to Wembley. Slough Town have reached the 2nd Round Proper during the last two season's in the F.A. Cup. In season 2017/18 they were beaten 0 - 4 (H) by Oldham Athletic; and 2018/19 0 - 1 (H) by Gillingham - both Division One (level 3) teams.
This season Rebels objective must be to reach the F.A. Cup 'Proper' for the third consecutive season, maybe the 3rd Round when the Premier League and Championship teams join the competition!

While this is Slough Town's first appearance in this season's F.A. Cup, opponents Flackwell Heath, the Heathens, have already won through three rounds in the competition, earning £9,640 in prize-money. In this 2nd Qualifying Round the winners will receive £6,750 prize-money; while the losers will get £2,250.

The Heathens joined the competition at the initial stage, the Extra Preliminary Round, beating Oxhey Jets (level 9) 0 -4 (A); in the Preliminary Round they overcame Newport Pagnell Town (Level 9) 1 - 2 (A); and in the last round, 1st Qualifying Round, they knocked out Sutton Athletic (level 10) 3 - 1 (H, replay) after drawing 1 - 1 (A).

Flackwell Heath play in the Hellenic League Premier Division (level 9) where they currently are placed 11th: Their league record being:
P5 W2 D1 L2 GF8 GA10 - Points 7. Results being L 1 - 2 (H) Lydney Town; W 2 - 0 (H) Holmer Green; D 2 - 2 (H) Easington Sports; L 5 - 0 (A) Burnham; W 3 - 1 (H) Reading City.

Of the other matches involving National South teams, 8 teams have drawn home fixtures, while 12 teams, including Slough Town, have been drawn to play away from home. There is only one 'all National South' tie - a derby match where Tonbridge Angels entertain Eastbourne Borough. All the other teams are playing opponents from a lower level in the football pyramid. The likeliest upset could be on the Dorset coast where Southern Premier South league leaders Poole Town (level 7) play at home to Hungerford Town.

Prediction: Last season Rebels struggled to beat lower level opponents at the first opportunity, being forced to away replays by both Sholing (2Q) and Bristol Manor Farm (3Q) before progressing further. There will be no stumbling on the road to Wembley this year!
Flackwell Heath 0 - 4 Slough Town
