This is Hampton & Richmond's 4th season back in National South, following their championship winning season in Isthmian Premier 2015/16.
With a virtually new squad, the Beavers have started the season slowly. Indeed their first win only came in their 6th match, this was immediately followed by another single goal victory, however they have lost their last three games and lie second bottom in 21st position:-

They have just signed veteran striker Jefferson Louis (aged 40) as cover for Tyrone Lewthwaite who has only just started light training following injury earlier in the season. He is still their second highest scorer having netted a goal in each of Hampton's opening four matches. He has now been overtaken by Danilo Orsi-Dadomo who has scored five goals, including a brace last weekend when Beavers lost at home to an injury-time winner against a strong Concord Rangers.

In the F.A. Cup they reached the 1st Round Proper before losing 1 - 2 (H) against League Two Oldham Athletic. In the earlier rounds they beat Burgess Hill Town 3 - 0 (H - 2Q); AFC Hornchurch 1 - 0 (H - 3Q); and Eastleigh 0 - 1 (A - 4Q).
They were knocked out at their first hurdle in the F.A. Trophy, losing 0 - 1 (H -3Q) against Billericay Town.
Slough Town opened their inaugural season in National South at home on 4th August against Hampton & Richmond. Having conceded an early, 3rd minute, goal Rebels equalised through Warren Harris in the 25th minute. The match ending 1 - 1 (attendance 866). The return fixture took place on 9th February. It was another 1 - 1 draw with Hampton equalising in time-added, 90+1 minutes. Sam Togwell having given Rebels the lead in the 25th minute.
