Below are the latest guidelines from the Govt and RFL for those wishing to participate in non-contact outdoor activity within the Community Game from June 8th. I have purposely not sent this to you until I had attended the Community Board and you had the opportunity to attend the Clubs’ webinar. Clearly there is a lot of work that is needed to be undertaken, so I wanted to assure you that the NCL are not putting any pressure on Clubs to commence any form of activity until it is safe to do so.

I am aware that some Clubs are concerned that the RFL posted information without informing Community Clubs direct ( both NCL and other Leagues). This is something that as I am sure you can appreciate is difficult to manage. The Government made the announcement on Saturday and since then the RFL and other Sports have been working with the Department of Culture Media and Sport and Sport England to obtain clear guidance on what the advice actually meant. This is not something which we have control as a sport, and therefore we just have to ensure that we are following the Government’s advice.

Please note that there is as yet no indication of a recommencement of full training or even competition, but at least it is a step in the right direction. We will, of course keep you fully informed as the lockdown restrictions begin to be relaxed.
