Napton won the toss. That's four on the trot !!
Captain Chris elected to field.
After last weeks 'hiccup', Napton bowled, fielded and took their catches well.
Catches by Callum, Sam and Stuart, a stumping by Graham off JP's bowling and a swift piece of fielding between Sam and Graham to effect a run-out provided an exciting opening session.
A thrilling spell with the ball by Stuart supplied the 'Champagne Moment' of the match. A corker of a delivery propelled the middle stump and bails towards the 'keeper leaving Off and Leg stumps isolated.
Mike (E) continued with his development as an ever-improving opening bowler
Unfortunately Everdon's batsmen No.'s 3 & 4 managed a partnership of 82 runs which distorted the home team's final score.
Everdon were all out, the 10th wicket being taken by the final ball of the 40th over, for 180 runs.
Napton batsmen were unable to really get into a coherent scoring pattern.
Joe reached his half-century before being given LBW. Sam walked; even though only the 'keeper thought there was a nick --- but as Sam said, he himself knew he had.
Napton completed their allocated 40 overs on 128-9.
