

The home team won the toss and put Napton into bat.
It was a disastrous first 10 overs. Napton lost 4 wicks for 29 runs.
Unfortunately, although Napton stepped up to the mark for the rest of the afternoon, this initial hiccup set the direction of the game.
At 29-4 Stuart joined Joe at the wicket and they consolidated the innings with a 101 run partnership taking the innings into the 33rd over.
Napton completed their allocated 40 overs on a respectable 160-7.

It was felt that, given the batting surface, Napton's total would be hard to defend.
After 30 overs the home team were at 132-4.
Napton were fielding and bowling well and with much effort. Gary became a ball-magnet and he covered much ground. He gathered and returned faultlessly.
With the Lemmings closing on the target, Stuart's last two overs returned a wicket-maiden and a two-wicket maiden.
The home team became a little concerned. However, Napton had set a target 20 or 30 runs short and the Lemmings overtook Napton in the 36th over.
Napton fielded well and took their catches.
