Club Interview

Blues midfielder Anthony McLoughlin has spoken today about the desire and determination at the club to turn the Admirals season around. The 32 year old caught up with Nelson Media today to give his thoughts on the camp following training last night.

"The mood within the group has definitely lifted this week and there's a good camaraderie amongst the players. You can sense the desire and determination to turn things around," said McGloughlin

"There is an abundance of talent in the squad but there has been a lack of experience and leaders. With the likes of Cowan and Stuart Craig joining as well as Steve Riley and Trigger now back there is now a good balance between youth and experience, which is what is needed to do well in this league," added the tough tackling Midfielder.

McGloughlin joined Nelson this summer and scored in the Blues only point of the season away at New Mills in a 2-2 draw. "I'm not known for my goal scoring record, but goals give you confidence to go on and score more so I'm hoping to bag a few for the team this season."

See Ants and his teammates in action this weekend when the Admirals host Stockport Town this saturday at Little Wembley.
