The Admirals are looking for new coaches and volunteers for the 2017/18 season including a First Team Coach, First Team Kit Man and Team coaches for many of our NEW Nelson FC Junior teams . Whether you are a level 1 coach looking to get involved in grassroots football or a UEFA Qualified coach looking for a semi professional club with an exciting reputation for youth development, we'd love to hear from you!

Below are the job descriptions for the roles available with contact details;

First Team Coach

Duties:

Organising and delivering Training sessions in discussion with the First Team Manager.
Assist with the recruitment, selection and retention of first Team players in discussion with the First Team Manager.
Assist with the preparation of a pre-season programme to maximise preparation for the forthcoming season.
Assist with the analysis of first team matches.

Personal requirements:

Is able to work within the Nelson FC management structure.
Have a meticulous attention to detail.
Can communicate effectively with external parties, Nelson FC personnel and senior management staff.
Adaptable to work to the demands of the job and able to work unsociable hours.
Possess exceptional organisational qualities.

Qualifications:

UEFA B Qualified
DBS Cleared
FA Emergency First Aid Trained

First Team Kit Man

Duties

Take care of all kit and equipment for the first team
Attend first team matches and assist the First Team coaches and players

Personal Requirements

Keen to be part of the Nelson FC First Team Staff
Can attend Nelson FC First Team matches
Can work well in a team and has good people skills

Junior Team Coaches

Duties

Manage Nelson FC Junior Teams (various new age groups available)
Coach junior footballers and work within the Nelson FC junior football set up
Provide weekly coaching sessions and run a team on a Saturday or Sunday morning
Attend monthly club meeting with other Nelson FC coaches to develop a joined up approach towards junior development

Personal Requirements

Minimum level 1 qualified coach, experience preferred but not essential as training can be provided
Passion for being part of grassroots football and junior development
A good understanding of child wellbeing and providing a fun and positive experience for all players
First Aid trained preferred but not essential as training can be provided
