The Phoenix's Womens FA CUP run comes to an end with a defeat to Thrapston Town Ladies.

Due the departure of the teams Manager and squad who followed him, the Phoenixs were left with just Seven players who wanted to play the fixture.

Knowing, with the bare minimum, and some carrying injuries before kick off, defeat was inevitable the Ladies still played the game.

The chance to play the game they love, to play in the Womens FA Cup and enjoy themsleves was enough for these Ladies to show the true spirit of Womens football.
