The Phoenix’s chairman, Lee Martin commented This is a great appointment for our development team on the eve of the new Cambridgeshire Women and Girls 2023/24 season.

We are delighted to be appointing a female manager for our female side. It’s our aim to see more female leadership in the club and the women’s game locally and Becky is a fantastic appointment that more than fits the bill. Having joined and played for the Phoenix’s last season Becky knows the set up here at Yaxely and as an experienced youth coach knows her stuff. In her first senior team managerial role she’ll be supported by Ryan who will add a great deal of knowledge and awareness. I’ve no doubt the pair, with the full support of the club, will thrive and continue to ensure our Devs, live out our values and high standards as well as continuing to ensure all players enjoy themselves in a friendly welcoming environment.’ ‘

New Manager Becky commented:

I’m so excited to join the Yaxley coaching staff and to take on the Ladies Devs. I’ve been coaching youth football for 10 years and now feel ready to take on this new challenge! I can’t wait to get started!
