Bohemians travelled to face Milmoor today and it is safe to say it was one of the worst matches ever seen. The pitch was barely big enough for a junior match, let alone a men's match and this led to a very scrappy and frustrating match.
 
The game was constantly played in a similar manner, with both sides struggling to keep possession and the ball seemingly spending more time out of play than in. The first real chance came after 20 minutes and it was Ayton who should have scored for the Greens. A fantastic run from Lavington saw him round the keeper and his ball across the 6 yard box seemed like an easy tap in for Ayton, but the ball got stuck between his feet and it was eventually cleared. As the half progressed Ayton, Phillips, Fox and Foster all had attempts where they could have done better, but the half ended level.
 
Sly had a real go at his players at half time, as the standard was very poor and the rush passing was causing the game to become scrappy and not allowing Bohemians to get any kind of hold. a change of formation at half time seemed to give Bohemians an edge in midfield in the 2nd half, but their attacking play was still very poor. With a lack of quality passing in the final 3rd, it seemed the goal would come from a mistake or a bit brilliance…it was a mistake. A poor pass was claimed by Ayton and he ran through to blast past the keeper. There were several more easy chances for Bohemians, with Sly and Petre especially guilty of missing great chances, but the game ended 1-0 to the Greens.
 
The 3 points were the important part and with so many players missing, it is a good victory. However, this match will be quickly forgotten and the standard of play moved on from.
