Thirds march on

Saints Slain

The thirds travelled away from their fortress that is the Valley to the far flung regional capital Stafford. For some third teamers the prospect of travelling all the way to Stafford (15 miles) was too much and they declined. Others just couldn't be arsed. Hey ho the thirds adapt and overcome and after a search of mobile phones contact lists, a squad of 18 was raised and travelled the tediously long journey down the A34 (thirty minutes) Leighton Glover who for once had little to say to the referee played at 10 with Sion Thomas at 9 and both orchestrated some quality moves with the backs leading to some excellent tries finished off by Fiji Karls and Whiskey. Brett Simcock playing in the centres also had a very good game despite his repeated attempts at a reverse pass...Fail!! Young Connor from the colts made his debut on the wing and impressed with his running and tackling. The forwards dominated the St Leonards pack and Rue tripped over his shoe laces twice and scored tries. The game ended with a flowing move finished off in the corner by "RAMBO" after some jug avoidance by Rue. Overall an excellent performance by the thirds, well done

Final score 87-0

Man of the match ( Fiji Karls with hangover)
