U8's lose away at Dewsbury Moor in dying seconds

New Earswick All Blacks U8's travelled away to Dewsbury Moor and took part in a thrilling end to end game.
After conceding the first try, the young All Blacks defended brilliantly on their own line before Reece Officer made a barnstorming run down the pitch only to be tackled short of the line. The metres gained by Officer put the All Blacks in a great position and Charlie Robinson powered over from close range.
A Dewsbury error was quickly picked up by Robinson who stormed down field and then a quick play of the ball saw Officer once again make great yards only to be tackled short.
Robinson's tireless defence and great yards impressed as he was nominated Opposition Coaches Man of the Match.
The next All Blacks try came from Jonathon Elders who showed great speed, evading four defenders as he sprinted three quarters of the way down the pitch to score. Elders was rewarded for his hard running with the Coaches Award.
Dewsbury then burst through the All Blacks defence and looked certain to score until speedy Adam Lee made a spectacular try saving tackle.
Joe Harrison was next to score for New Earswick with an amazing show and go that fooled the opposition.
After half time, Adam Lee scored two amazing tries. One was a solo effort showing his devastating pace and evasive footwork. The other, Lee capitalised on Dewsbury's mistake and ran full length untouched. Lee was the well deserved Parents' Player of the Match.
Officer picked up the Man of Steel Award for his strong running, great hand offs and strength in defence.
Darcy Sheriff was outstanding in defence and showed great determination and courage. Although he was injured a few times and suffered with a knee injury, he carried on and worked tirelessly which resulted in him collecting the Top Tackler award.
Aaron Rushworth has been improving in confidence week on week and today was given the Magic Moment Award for an amazing try saving cover tackle on a lad much bigger than himself which really boosted his confidence further.
