Veterans back on winning run!

On a bitterly cold Saturday evening Newmarket entertained Crofton Albion from London, the playing surface was perfect and Newmarket took control playing the ball around with some pretty snazzy football. Conway in goal took some lessons from last weeks goalkeeper Stretch and gifted Albion with a goal in the first half, with no recognised striker Percy and Bob Shortland went up front for the first half and did little to worry the Crofton defence, although a mix up in Croftons defence did give Newmarket the chance to level the scores with a tap in from the good looking Crawford (the ugly one plays at the back)
The ever youthful Foster playing wide midfield drove in a angled shot to take the lead, at half time Lesley Pipe was seen up side down in the clubhouse trying to get the hot air blower up her trouser leg from the over head heater and Bob O went in goal for the injured Conway, Newmarket controlled the game but needed eagle eyed Edgar on the line to flag for offside in the last minutes of the game.
Next week Hemingford please be there as The Smiling Assassin will not be happy!
