Someone in Pink, Trev, Si , Lol, Pipey, Peaky, Boats, Vinney, John, Mick, Col. Klipperty Reed, Shaun, Fozzy, Perse, Mad Willie, Smiffy, Edgar.(no Brennan)

Howdy folks! Well numbers were not so good this week as at 10.15 Newmarket only had 9 x players but thankfully by kick off we had eleven and was even able to lend 2 x players to Cambridge. With no recognised striker Newmarket started with a defender up front in fact Klipperty ordered a rather bizarre formation of 4-4-4-4-5-1 obviously this was not possible so the players took to the field and sorted themselves out. From the start Vinny pushed forward and consequently struck twice both with well taken finishes. This only caused Newmarket to relax a bit too much thinking it was going to be easy but then allowed the Cambridge forward to walk through and finish twice with ease himself.
Newmarket kept pressing only for Cambridge to break away and chip the bloke in pink standing in goal, then Cambridge went further ahead with a bit of a toe poke which pathetically dribbled over the line with the pink blur scrambling to do anything. The game was now end to end and Long drifted up front again to get his hat trick with another well taken goal. Cambridge went further ahead with another easily taken goal, Long was now bloody nosed playing while holding a sponge, had his legs taken from him in fact it was a miracle he was able to walk away, it was so bad he was unable to take the resulting penalty which Vowdy promptly smashed home.
Meanwhile Klipperty brought himself on to the pitch and made an immediate impact the ball landed at his feet and with the combined skill of son Lee and the speed of son Sam, Klipperty was heading towards the Cambridge goal, unfortunately both the skill and speed disappeared within 2 steps as he took a tumble, as he gasped for air it was as if the leaning tower of Pisa had suddenly given up after all these years of leaning it was now time to go, slowly in fact very slowly, the footings finally said "ENOUGH" it seemed to happen in a blur but the replay showed slowly that no contact had been made in fact he merely ran out of steam, as dust and slobber flew in different directions as Klipperty came to rest.......................................
Anyway next game home to Moulton, come back Brennan all is still not forgiven.
