Milton Overwhelm Eastleigh

New Milton played hosts to Eastleigh II a team at the bottom of the league having to play the top team, their forwards played well in the scrums and line outs, but Milton were quickly able to gain possession from tackle ruck turn overs and move the ball out getting their team passing game working well finally being able to outscore Eastleigh by 12 tries to 1

Milton were on the attack from the kick off after a series of rucks the ball was passed to Joe Eldridge who ran in to score from half way. A penalty award to Eastleigh gave them a line out on half way Milton gained possession and with the team passing well Zac Smith received the final pass for the touch down.

Eastleigh responded well,a penalty award gave them a line out on the Milton 5mtr line which they used well their forwards pushing over for a try, this was quickly followed by Milton gaining possession from a scrum in the Eastleigh 22 the ball was passed to Charlie Jewiss who outpaced any defenders to score.

Milton were were working well retaining possession in the tackles switching the attack from one side to the other resulting in Tom Wood running clear for a touch down and Charlie Jewiss scoring his brace.

Penalty awards gave Eastleigh possession in the Milton 22 creating a period of defence for Milton close to their try line but Adam Lavis was able regain possession from a tackle passing out to Tom Gould who broke away through the defence and passing to Christian Brown to run in for the touch down.

A Milton line out on half way was passed out to the backs Connor Hammerstone used his pace to run in to score the final try of the half, all of which he had converted, a couple from and near the touch line.

Milton's powerful running game continued to pile on the points in the second half Christian Brown ran in to score his brace, followed by Dalton Thomas running in to score from half way, then after tries scored by Josh Lines,Ollie Woodhouse and Dan Mallard the Captains and the Ref agreed to call an end to the match.

Connor Hammerstone converted 3 of the tries in the second half giving him a match score of 25 points, however Charlie Jewiss was made Milton's Man of the Match.
