Milton Overwhelm Totts

New Milton kicked off the new rugby season hosting Tottonians II, who were subjected to some powerful running rugby by Milton which was enjoyed and appreciated by a sizeable number of touchline supporters,Milton outscoring Totts by 9 tries to 1.

Milton collected Totts kick off in their 22 and from the ruck that formed the ball was kicked ahead followed up well by Dan Millard who tackled the Totts full back turning over the ball for Milton to get in the Totts 22 and from the ruck Callum Wood broke through passing to Lewis Waugh to touch down.

Totts recovered well and created pressure in the Milton 22 and decided convert a penalty award, from the following kick off Milton created pressure in the Totts 22, a penalty award was taken quickly Callum Wood breaking through and passing to Dalton Thomas to touch down.

A series of penalty awards against Milton gave Totts a line out in the Milton 22 who were able to touch a loose ball in the in goal area for a try, Milton responded with a quickly taken penalty on half way was passed out to Charlie Jewiss who used his pace elude tackles and score under the posts.

Milton were quickly into the Totts 22 a penalty award was converted by Lewis Waugh, this was quickly followed by Milton using the kick off ball the team running and passing well Lee Thomas going over for the try.

Totts fought back well creating pressure in the Milton 22, but the defence tackling was secure and from a Milton turnover Charlie Jewiss made the initial break and with team working well the ball was passed to Christian Brown who ran round the tackle attempts to touch down.

Totts were again creating pressure in the Milton 22 but a penalty gave the possession to |Milton on half way and from a scrum the ball was passed to Christian Brown who glided past tackle attempts to touch down for his Brace,this was quickly followed by Milton being awarded a free kick in the Totts 22 being passed to Dan Mallard who broke through tackle attempts to touch down.

From the kick off Milton attacked Dan Mallard kicking ahead for Tom Gould to collect the ball and touch down, and again from the kick off Milton gained possession passing out for Tom Gould to run through tackle attempts to gain his Brace.

8 of the 9 tries were converted, which included a couple of touch line conversions, by Man of the Match - Lewis Waugh who with those scores contributed 24 points to the Milton score.
