Yaxley are in good form at the moment, only losing 1 in the last 10 which includes a 3-1 win away at Chennecks, 0-0 draw at Deeping Rangers and a 1-0 home win against Division 1 Olney Town in the League Cup Semi Final. Yaxley are to play Wisbech Town in the League Cup final after they beat Desborough on penalties last weekend.
The Swans have found their feet after the FA Vase exit and now have scored 16 goals in the last 5 games winning all 5 games. As we know Luke Emery scored 9 of those goals and since has moved on to Southern League Premier Division side Biggleswade Town. In fact Luke made his debut from the subs bench last weekend against Dunstable Town and scored Biggleswade Town's 2nd goal in a 2-0 win! Last weekend the Swans beat Harrowby Utd away 2-1, Dave Baker scoring both goals. Harrowby made it very difficult for Newport and at times were very physical in their approach. The week before the Swans produced their best result in the last 5 winning 2-0 away at Deeping Rangers which ended Deepings unbeaten run at home this season.
