BB's poor run of form continued, with a big home defeat to the previously winless Vipers.

Vipers kicked off on a dull but dry afternoon, BB's lineout was working well and provided the first score. The lineout won, right wing Dan George made the extra man for left wing Joe Cantwell to score 5-0. Vipers responded almost immediately with a converted try after tackles were missed 5-7. Vipers looked more committed and stretched the lead 5-14 at half time.

BB shuffled the team but could not get out of second gear, and Vipers stretched the lead with a penalty and an unconverted try 5-22. Cantwell scored his second when Vipers missed a kick to touch 10-22. A penalty given for not releasing gave Vipers three more 10-25. Captain Olly James scored a try 15-25, but it was a mere consolation as Vipers scored the bonus point try and converted 15-32. Next week BB travel to fellow strugglers Wellingborough badly needing a win.
