BB slipped down the table with a comprehensive home defeat to an impressive Badgers side.

The game kicked off in bright sunshine on an ideal pitch considering all it has taken in the recent past. BB started by putting early pressure on but Badgers defended well and took the lead with a good try 0-5. This sparked them into life and they scored again off a scrum 0-10. BB were winning ball and looked dangerous when the ball got to the wings but struggled to get over the game line. However just before half time Dan George intercepted to race away to score for BB 5-10 at the break.
BB needed to start well but it was the Badgers who destroyed a BB scrum and scored next 5-15. Even when BB had ball the defence stood firm, and with the Badgers scrum becoming more dominant and there lineout working like a dream it looked ominous for BB. Badgers then put a penalty into the corner and the linout was driven over for the bonus point score 5-22. Pressure was building all the time on BB and Badgers scored again 5-27. There was a brief respite when Joe Cantwell intercepted to score, Ryan Haddon converting 12-27. It was mere consolation as a dreadful mix up in the BB backs gifted a try 12-32. On the last play BB conceded a penalty try dragging down another Badgers driving lineout 12-39 at the close. BB need to get players back before next weeks tough trip to Dunstable.
