LEIGHTON BUZZARD 65:5 BBOB
The game preceded by a lovely lunch was well supported on presidents day. The pitch was in good condition considering the recent weather. With BB playing up the slope Buzzard looked to move the ball and soon opened BB up, who just ran out of tacklers. Whether attacking through the backs or playing to the corners, Buzzard just carried too much threat.Their man of the Match No'8 made huge inroads with powerful runs and surprising slight of hand. BB's cause was not helped when wing Dan George was binned, closely followed by the Buzzard No.9. This led to BBs only bright spot, when the returning Mitch Stevenson used his strength to score. 29-5 at half time.
Bb were looking for respite, but Buzzard were looking to turn the screw, and tries came at regular intervals. BB did have moments and never gave up, but were well beaten and glad to hear the final whistle. With results not going well, BB look nervously over their shoulders with relegation a real possibility.
Next week BB have a saturday off as their opposition are involved in a cup game.
