Scouts U16s Champion Performance

In an entertaining game Scouts U16s defeated local rivals ONs by 22 pts to 5pts at NSB last night.

Both sides are well known to each other and local bragging rights were at stake with several players at school together.

ONs took an early five point lead but Scouts hit back before the break with two tries to make the score 10-5.

Scouts should have wrapped things up when their backs showed some pace and spread the ball wide early in the second half, but they failed to cross the line. A score did not materialise until late into the game and with the conversion, the result was in sight and a further try near the end made sure of victory.

The game was a credit to both sides and entertained a large Friday night audience.
