Scouts lose at wet and windy Kettering

With pouring rain having fell all morning and still continuing at the start of this match neither side could cope with the conditions.
A much changed Scouts side took an early lead with a penalty from Adam Frost which was cancelled out shortly after by the home kicker.
The greasy ball was proving difficult to control and passes by both teams were going astray. This created a stop and start half as the whistle was in continual action.
A penalty miss from Kettering was all the excitement at the start of the second half although they did manage to convert one to take the lead after Scouts discipline let them down which involved two of their front row sitting on the naughty boys step.
The game was drifting along at 6pts to 3 to Kettering with Scouts having to defend strongly. The hosts eventually broke through to touch down although there was a strong claim for a dropped ball in the move that led up to the try.
