An Adam Frost penalty had given Scouts an early lead but they were having to work hard to defend and keep Buzzard off the scoresheet.
The visitors defence however was not as good and they were at fault in midfield which allowed Jordan Judd to race away to touch down for Frost to convert midway through the half.
Buzzard were not giving up and looked dangerous in spasms but Scouts still kept control and following a break out from their forwards the ball was spun wide for Glyn Roff to run a good line in under the posts. Frost again added the extras.
The hosts started the second half on the attack and within ten minutes had increased their lead. Skipper Richard Bussey broke clear around the blind side of a maul and with an outrageous show and go left the Buzzard full back on his backside. Frost converted.
A sin binning reduced Scouts numbers and with an extra man Buzzard exploited a try which they converted.
Back at full strength the home side were chasing a try bonus point which they achieved after a swift attack down the left created a massive space wide right which Frost exploited by chipping a cross for George Barrett. Frost added his fourth conversion of the day and completed the day with a penalty on the stroke of time.
