Scouts beaten by heavier pack

Scouts travelled to Market Bosworth with high hopes and were soon ahead. Fly half Ned Buckler stepped inside his opposite number to feed skipper Jordan Dolman who raced over under the sticks. Dean Lake converted.
The home side were playing down the slope with the wind at their backs and only had one tactic, which was to use the elements and kick to the right hand corner. This was then followed by numerous scrums until eventually they were awarded a penalty try. Scrums were the name of the game for Bosworth at every opportunity as they used their weight advantage to keep Scouts in their own 22. Eventually Bosworth took the lead after yet another scrum when they surprised Scouts and let the ball out for their centre to crash over for a converted try.
Scouts repelled further forward attacks from their hosts and equalised on the stroke of half time when on even ground they held a scrum and scrum half Ali Morin threw an outrageous pass through his legs to set up George Barrett who sprinted in from sixty metres. Adam Frost, who had replaced Buckler at fly half, kicked the equaliser.
The second half was littered with mistakes from both sides and the referee and didn’t make for pretty watching. Scouts large contingent of supporters were trying their best to encourage the players but it was Bosworth who crept ahead with an unconverted breakaway try and penalty, which had originally been awarded to Scouts and was reversed.
Scouts had opportunities in the last quarter but eventually had to settle for a losing bonus point with a Frost penalty.
