U13s Team 2 vs Olney 19/4/15

Team 2 came within a whisker of a stunning victory against one of the strongest teams that they have faced all season.
Olney showed why they are one of the top local teams early on moving the ball around. Following Scouts clearing their lines the ball was run back at them for the first score. Scouts came storming back and equalised through Loz following a good, solid scrum. Scouts were harassing Olney into mistakes, however just before half-time they managed to create an overlap to score in the corner to give them a 10-5 half time.

The second half was just as close and the introduction of fresh legs at half time gave Scouts some early 2nd half impetus. This was turned into points when Izaiah powered his way over the line and with Mauro knocking over the conversion, Scouts held a 12-10 lead going into the final few minutes. Unfortunately, Olney managed to score following a sprint down the wing and with a superb touchline conversion this gave them the lead with no real time for Scouts to come back again.

A great game and a really promising performance by Scouts, who now head off for their French Adventure in good heart.
