Match report by Davie Sibbald

Hi All
Today we faced a physically big Boroughmuir side who were intent in trying to bully us into submission but the U-15's never read the script and turned on the style today. Today was truly a team effort. We had 3 year groups on the pitch today and no one looked out of place as we kept our shape in defence and looked lethal in Attack.all this with a squad who have never trained together before. We played most of the team out of position but the boys took this in their stride and fought tooth and nail for each other.
The first Third was dominated by our forwards, our big ball carriers punched big holes in their defence resulting in Captain Keir Donaldson scoring his first try which was quickly followed by another fine effort from our forwards and some dynamic play by our backs which resulted with Connor M charging over for a well deserved try. Boroughmuir began to assert themselves in the game and came back with 2 try's to even the score before the whistle
The second third Boroughmuir awoke from their collective slumber and turned the screw scoring 2 quick try's N.B. responded with Kier breaking a couple of tackles to score his second. Our Backs started to find their mojo resulting in Jed scoring his first try
The last third N.B. picked up the tempo and ran Boroughmuir ragged with our big ball carriers hungry for some points. Keir again charged at them breaking the game line and scored his 3rd try of the day, things got a bit heated and we went down to 14 men but this only galvanised the boys to fight harder for each other We hung on with 14 men and still managed to score another try after another good spell from our backs which released Jed to score his Second of the day. Then against the run of play Boroughmuir responded with with their last try of the day. Again this spurred the boys to charge up field and were awarded with a penalty 5m from the line which resulted in the Rory S charging over the line
