After the previous weeks cancellation due to the weather the U12s were very pleased that Kingswood agreed to a re-scheduled match in The Meadow with their pitches having taken a battering over recent weeks. Both teams had players away due to half term but the remaining players battled well in a well spirited match.
Three periods of fifteen minutes were played and all well reffed by Kingswood's Coach Rob.
The first fifteen was keenly contested with Kingswood taking the first try of the game. Up the slope back came North Bristol with tries from Ted, Fletcher and Bobby. Into the second period North Bristol really upped their work rate and they showed some great team work and passing which put their players into space. Ollie was enjoying the open space to score and another fine break from him could easily have seen him touch down again but unselfish play saw him pass to the Zeke, rewarding the support play with no Kingswood players around.
A strong run from Ellis set up the best try of the game. His offload to Leon kept the play moving and the ball moved left where Diego drove hard. The team recycled the ball and Max drew the cover to put Ethan in the corner.
In defence Fletcher, Leon, Ben B, Diego and Bobby all tackled brilliantly and Cobey used his linking play to keep phases moving. Evan, who always works hard in defence scored a deserved try, his first of the season. An entertaining match and big thanks to Kingswood for coming across to play.
Tries - Ollie (3), Zeke (3), Bobby (2), Morgan (2), Diego, Ethan, Evan, Fletcher, Leon, Ted
