Information for people wishing to volunteer with the North Derbyshire Chargers.

As with all community sports clubs, volunteers are vital to the ongoing success and development of the North Derbyshire Chargers and we are always appreciative of any help and support which the community can offer. In return we offer the ability to develop new skills, support and training where appropriate to the role and the knowledge that you are supporting the sporting development of children across North Derbyshire and the surrounding area.

Ways in which volunteers can support the club include:

  • Touchline Managers;

  • Team Managers;

  • Volunteer/Inclusion Co-Ordinator;

  • Club buddies to welcome new members;

  • providing first aid cover at matches;

  • setting out the field prior to a game;

  • ensuring water bottles are filled;

  • fundraising
;
  • co-ordination roles to support other volunteers;

  • welfare officers;

Current vacancies and associated job descriptions can be accessed via the club’s profile page on the Derbyshire Sport web site and applications/expressions of interest should be sent to info@chargersrl.co.uk

Please note that all volunteers will require an enhanced DBS through the club – previous DBS certificates will not be accepted. Volunteers will also be expected to undertake Emergency First Aid, Safeguarding & Protecting Children and disability awareness training relevant to their role within the club as part of an organised volunteer induction.
