Playing the club's first home pre-season friendly on a lush, green and excellently prepared pitch, North Greenford notched up their second 1-1 draw on the spin against a lively, well-organised St Panteleimon side, the team who will be playing their home games at Berkeley Fields next season.
Looking by far the sharper of the two teams when the match kicked off, the visitors took a deserved lead within the opening ten minutes. The goal proved a wake-up call for the Blues who equalised following a well-worked move clinically finished by new signing Alex Peyton.
No further goals were added in the second half but both managers had the benefit of being able to use all their substitutes and assess the potenial strengths of their respective squads.
