After running dry our competitive interest in Sunday football and having the threat of a life without regular sporting exercise, the idea formulated in star captain Daniel Wood to venture pastures new and join a recognised Saturday League.

With the help of Chris Donaldson and Scott Downie it give birth to a new club - a day's worth of emailing (against work policy) and one hasty evening meeting and the four conerposts of Melchester old created Burgh Vale AFC - of new!

The team was entered in to the Edinburgh Central division of the Lothian and Edinburgh Amateur Football Association.

Club Colours: Purple Tops, White Shorts, Purple Socks.
