NMV are pleased to announce the signings of 3 new players in the last week to bolster the squad,
David Knox, cousin of Vale legend Jamie, has joined after negotiating his release from Greenlaw FC who play in the Border Amateur leagues. David will bring added steel to the Vale midfield.
He has been joined in signing by Simon Leslie and Marteinn Svavarsson after successful trial periods. Simon is a midfielder, recently moved to Edinburgh from Aberdeen, whilst Icelander Marteinn operates at the back and has experience playing in the Second Division back home.
Another returnee to the squad is former captain Stephen Black who has now fully recovered from a horrific injury that has kept him out the game for 2 and a half years. Vale are hoping Stephen will rediscover the form that saw him as a club hero in his first period at the club.
There are also numerous trialists appearing at training over the next few weeks and any future news will be announed here first.
The club have also unfortunately lost the services of Graham Horsman, Louis Galloway (work committments) and Ross Macnaughton due to obtaining a football scholarship at University, the Vale would like to wish them all the best for the future.
