Huge thanks to Mary and Richard Cracknell, Susie Nicoll, Suzy Francis and Chairman Stephen Edwards for all their hard work in making last night's barbecue such a success. Players perhaps don't appreciate the hours of shopping and preparation of salads etc.involved in ensuring that there's enough food for such a crowd (and making sure that there is enough left for late returning teams), not to mention the cooking and cleaning up afterwards. The food was excellent and the new BBQs worked well.

Thanks also to Friendy for making the arrangements with Play On and doing the comms.

For those interested, five teams contested Stumps. Winners were the First XI with the Juniors' team (fuelled only by water) coming a close second.

It was too dark to measure the winning egg throw but thanks to the lads who helped pick up the shells afterwards. With us hosting the Gubby Allen Finals today this was a great help. The foxes cleaned up the yolks as usual.
