It is with deep sadness that to report the death of Mick “Chopper” Horton, one of our few Life Vice Presidents, following illness.

Chopper was Club President for a number of years and was been with Northolt RFC for decades, back to the days when it was known as CAV RFC.

He was one of the good guys who made sure the club was an enjoyable place to play, and on a number of crucial occasions was also very instrumental in making sure it kept going, including our taking on a 60 year lease at Cayton Green Park.

Chopper was a true gent who was always very friendly and opening towards all who knew and loved him. In his own way he touched the hearts of many associated with the club, and without him Northolt would not have been the club it is today through his drive for success.

Northolt would like to offer their condolences to Chopper's family and hope to host a memorial event in the not so distant future.

Gentleman, friend, legend. RIP Chopper.
