The competition was strong with Ribb Stags vs Keighley 2’s. Eddie Bradley scoring the 1st try to give the Stags the lead. However Keighley 2’s kept on the pressure but couldn’t break the Ribb defence opting to kick for goal at every opportunity in the 1st half, unfortunately for them they were only successful once before Ribb 2’s next try coming from Tom Monks just before half time. Making the score 10-3 at HT.
Into the 2nd half and Keighley 2’s got the 1st scores on the doors with a converted try levelling the match to 10-10. The hammer remained to be down as both sides battled away. Scrums were dominated by the Stags as experienced Matt Dugdale led the pack into forwards motion. Cracks began to show as tempers frayed and weaknesses began to show from either side resulting in a slightly yellow haze. The scores steadily increased with 2 more penalty goals and a try from Keighley 2’s but the Stags also had tricks up their sleeves in the shape of Tommy Monks who put in the fast yards scoring 2 more tries to give him his hat-trick as teammate no.10 Max Seddon converted them both making it a 24 - 21 victory to the Mighty Stags.
MOM went to the clean shaven ‘Movember’ enthusiast Liam Wallbank who put in a massive shift throughout the match.
