It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Dave Appleby.

Dave left us in the early hours of 19 November, aged 76.

Dave was a true legend of North Shields RFC. On the pitch, he was a powerful and skilled front-row forward; off the pitch, he was a kind, generous man with an infectious personality. His commitment to the club was immense - serving as a Past President, Honorary Life Member, and even managing the bar for a time.

To honour Dave, there will be a minute’s silence at the club before the Blyth game on Saturday, 6 December at 2:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to join us and raise a glass in memory of our dear friend.
